1934 Chevrolet Master 5 Window Coupe Project
December 30, 2023
I took delivery of a really terrific old coupe today. The deal included lots of very good condition original parts. I also received fiberglass fenders and running boards. Upgrades to the frame and suspension have already been done. I'm very excited and this will be worth the effort!

Here are some photos from delivery day 12/30/23.
These cars bodies were framed with wood and then wrapped in steel. When the wood became wet, it eventually rotted and crumbled. Thus, many of these cars did not survive over the years.
All of this wood came with my purchase today.
The 5 pieces of plywood at the bottom left corner of the picture appear to be someone's attempt at making some replacement pieces. Most of the pieces I received were bundled, labeled, and in very good condition. Perhaps this is a replacement wood kit that was purchased by a previous owner but never installed.

You can see the original wood below this window is rotting and will need to be replaced.
The next few photos were taken before I purchased it. The fenders and running boards are mocked up to get an idea of what it would look like as a full fender car, but the hood and grill are not in place.
