The PS door needs a new skin. I measured and then cut off the old skin and prepared the inside of the door shell with POR-15. I cut out and prepared the original door handle brace too. With plans to finish the door later this week, I rebuilt the PS door hinges. That way the door will hang without sagging as I make final adjustments just before I weld the skin.

Yes, I used silver POR15. A friend gave me a small can and it seemed perfect for inside a door. It can't be seen there but if I ever need to find anything that I might drop inside the door, then the reflective color will allow for me to get a better look inside the door.

I bought my door skin from TruckandCar Shop. They go to bigger car shows and so I bought it there and saved shipping. It was $130.

Also- been meaning to ask: Your trick with the POR15... don't you need to stir the stuff before using it? How do you do that without opening the can? You just shake it good each time you use it? No problems?

I usually turn the can and swirl it many times before each use. That usually helps mix up the solids that usually settle on the bottom. However, I also stir. You can insert a coat hanger wire bent like the lette "L". It will fit down through the hole and then stir the solids off the bottom. I had previously struggled with the old way of removing and then replacing the lid and I will never go back to that again.
