Some one else cut a hole in the top of one rocker. So I decided to repair the hole. Today was the final step in the restoration. I polished the outside. The area between the fins and around the script is difficult to polish, so I cleaned and painted that area black. Then I scraped the paint off the very edge of the fins and top of the script. I like the results.
These Corvette rocker covers are correct for a 283 or 327ci engine from the 1960's.

There's no general comment section, so I thought I'd leave a comment on the most recent post. Thanks for all the info on your blog. I enjoyed reading through much of it. I was particularly appreciative of the T5 info, as you had exactly what I was looking for to help me finish up a long-dormant project that I started about 17 years ago. I can certainly appreciate the thoroughness you seem to have with your projects. Thanks again for taking the time to share it with the internet!

It’s my first project like this and your information has been very helpful! I’m putting an s10 t5 in behind a 283 next and hope it all goes as planned I’m a little nervous… again much appreciated sir!
